Ms Mosupye, a Bcomm graduate, is a strategist and a Development Consultant with expertise from varied industries including sport and recreation. As a Founder of the non-profit Hauweng Tourism for All Society, her focus is on advocating for socially conscious tourism development policies to advance affordable and accessible tourism to grow affinity to travel amongst locals. In her career spanning over 25 years, she has worked in the private sector for various companies ranging from a large blue-chip co-operation to medium sized enterprises responsible for marketing and communications, stakeholder management, and business development. She has also worked as a Senior Manager in public service responsible for strategy development, organisational restructuring, and leading sector transformation efforts. As a women empowerment activist she led the establishment of the women in tourism programme in 2009, a platform that has grown to have a national and regional footprint.
Her development work is delivered through local and global collaborations with associates that hold a wealth of experience in the identified areas of Tourism, Agriculture, Environmental Management, and others. Through her extensive experience in strategy, capacity building planning and exposure to different sectors of the economy she ably articulates complex business contexts, empowering stakeholders to participate meaningfully in processes of change and growth in their environments.

Unathi Sonwabile Henama has more than 14 years’ experience as a tourism academic at the Tshwane University of Technology. He has established himself as one of the leading researchers in the field of tourism, and has researched extensively on trends within the tourism industry. He is one of the leading researchers on disruptors such as Uber, Airbnb and other sharing economy platforms on the African continent. He has consulted extensively on tourism developments plans and conducted training sessions on the leisure economy. He is the leading tourism commentator in South Africa on issues related to the tourism industry. He holds a PhD in tourism

Khumbu’s professional career spans in excess of 23 years, the majority of which is anchored in the tourism, hospitality and travel industries. He commenced his services industry career in Sales & Marketing with American Express Travel and later made a vertical move as head of Sales & Marketing with the joint venture black economic empowerment partner Pulanala Travel & Forex.
His illustrious career in tourism and hospitality advanced further when he joined the hotel chain The Don Group where he launched his career as a practitioner in the marketing intelligence domain. He later joined Gauteng Tourism Authority (GTA) as a Marketing Manager responsible establishing a new research sub-division marked a watershed development in his career. Whilst his primary career focus remained sector intelligence, other additions like Knowledge Management, were later made to the primary role during his nearly 14-year tenure with the GTA including. He holds a Graduate Diploma in marketing and numerous specialized training in research, finance management, strategic planning and performance management.
